GoodlifeNews! Podcast & Blog – Now Almost 8 Weeks Old!

Just a quick note:

I’m rejoicing this week this week that next Monday, June 21, I’ll be posting the 8th episode of the GLN Podcast and Blog. I’ve truly enjoyed putting this material together each week. And, I’m continuously learning–both about how to do what needs to be done, and my understanding of the subjects I speak/write about!

My New Podcast Launches May 2, 2021!

In less than two weeks my new podcast, Goodlifenews! will launch on May 2! I’m pretty stoked about seeing this new ministry come to life. Below is a link to a short video trailer I put together as an announcement and invitation to subscribe. Take a look, and if you feel so inclined, please share it with family, friends, or other contacts you feel may like to check it out.

The URL for the podcast itself is www.anchor.fm/goodlifenews. I’ve also set up a dedicated website for the project to share news and updates. That URL is www.goodlifenews.life.

Thanks for helping me get the word out! Whatever you can do will be truly appreciated!!

A Welcome Note

I got this beautiful note from a reader on the morning after Christmas:

“Loren, your book about prayer helped me so much this morning. We are in this battle with evil! Only the light of God’s love delivers from the darkness! Your description of the unselfish love of Jesus’ agape love helped me and my two grandsons! Praise God!”

Messages like this are a great encouragement to writers and authors! It is such a great blessing to know something we have labored hard to bring to life can give spiritual hope to someone else. I am truly grateful.

Shortly after the first edition of “Seven Essential Daily Prayers” was published, a long-time Christian friend told me, with tears in his eyes and a catch in his throat, “Loren, for the first time in my life I have understood the gospel. I always thought I had to DO something to make up for my sins. Now, I finally know the truth about being saved by grace through faith in Jesus. Thank you so much for writing this book!”

earlier last year I did a revision and re-publishing of the book under a new title: “My Seven Essential Daily Prayers.” MSEDP also includes some study guide questions and journal pages following each chapter. Check it out at https://amazon.com/author/lorenfenton.

The Narrow Way

I don’t consider myself to be very skilled at writing poetry, but I was inspired to write this today. I hope it will be a blessing and encouragement to you in your spiritual journey.

The Narrow Way

A pathway leads toward Heaven,
Ever upward, ever on,
Through wilderness and stony soil,
To reach the Great Beyond.

On one side stands a Mountain,
Cold, heartless, and austere,
Uncompromising majesty,
God’s  Law, forever pure.

The other shows a River,
Flowing free and full of grace:
Living peace, with healing power
For all of sin’s disgrace.

The shadow of that Mountain looms
Above the guilty brood,
And stones crash down from craggy heights,
While Judgment calls for blood.

But Now! A Voice heard in the gloom
Brings hope the traveler’s way,
“My grace, Dear Soul, is all you need,
For strength to win the day!

Be faithful ‘til the morning dawns
On God’s eternal shore,
And in that bright Tomorrow there
You’ll live forevermore!”
