Great Progress this Week on Whimsi!

We’re Getting Closer!

Well, it has been a pretty challenging few days this week, but we are getting a LOT closer to publishing the paperback edition of Whimsi and the Big Election! I spent two very long days designing and finishing the cover. In the end, I had to have Ruth help me finish up. She is much more experienced than I with the graphics app we use, which – if anyone is interested – is the Corel Paintshop Pro 2018.

I wanted to post a picture of the final cover here, but right now my webhost gives me a message that it is too large. So, I opted for the one you see at the left. However, if you would like to see what Whimis’s cover will look like when it is eventually published, you can go over to Whimsi’s Facebook page. Just click HERE.

I am SO looking forward to getting this project done! Even though I wrote the story, I still truly enjoy it! Plus, I believe Whimsi’s story has some wonderful – even vital – lessons for young children (and for some of us older kids, too!).

Blessing to all. Keep walking with the King!

If you’d like to be notified when this little story is available in paperback, send me an email at loren@goodlifenews.co. This is a great story for kids 4-10 with a wonderful built-in lesson for trusting the Creator above the promises of fickle politicians. Plus, my daughter has done a beautiful job with all the illustrations!

When the paperback edition is published it will be available at https://amazon.com/author/lorenfenton

Plans for Whimsi book . . . And Delays!

Hey, everyone!

When my daughter Kimberly and I finally finished the Kindle eBook version of Whimsi’s World: Whimsi and the Big Election last August we also made plans to release it as a paperback on Amazon here in mid-October. Ah, yes. Great intentions! Indeed!

Well, I attempted to get into that process a few days ago and discovered that I need to create a full manuscript of the book and upload it as a .pdf file. That’s not impossible, but it does mean I will need to formulate each page individually and include it in a single file for that purpose. Just some extra steps, but it does create somewhat of a delay in our plans.

Oh, well! It will get done in due time!

Keep your eyes open for the announcement when the paperback is ready!

I’ll let you know!

Loren
