SOMEBODY MUST KNOW!

Problem #1

We’re still wrestling with the picture file density needed to publish Whimsi and the Big Election in paperback edition on Amazon. Somehow, we’re missing something. Here’s the problem: In order for the pictures to print nicely, the files we upload must be at 300 dpi or more. However, even when we take the pictures at “fine,” the density gets degraded when the file is converted to a format we can use when the entire manuscript is uploaded to Amazon. So here it is: What do we need to do to preserve the density when the manuscript file is converted to .pdf or .docx??? 

Surely there must be an answer – and I am confident someone out there in cyberspace knows! Problem #2

This one is more for me personally, but I’m still buffaloed by it and I need someone to give me the solution.

I’ve gone through several rotations of email/calendar/contacts software apps, and I’m still not settled. I’ve tried Apple, Google, MS Windows, and MS Outlook.

Part of the issue stems from the fact that I have a PC running Windows 10 for my desktop computer, and I have an iPhone which I also use. I need a program that will seamlessly sync across these devices! I haven’t been able to get any of the above mentioned suites to do that. Maybe I’m just missing a link somewhere. I just don’t know. I’ve tried everything I can read to find a workable solution.

At present, I’m using MS Outlook 2016. I’m happy with that app on my PC, and I have installed the Outlook app on my iPhone. The email syncs with no problem, but the calendar does not. I’ve searched (and wasted days) for online answers, tried everything, but I’m still missing something.
